I received the rent exactly on time, got the detailed Income statement each month just as I should have and received the tax statement right after year-end. After not being able to sell my house in 92019, for what I wanted for it, I decided to rent it out. I searched the net for a local property manager and found Alta Vista Properties, who appeared to know the La Jolla and Pacific Beach areas. Jackie, the owner, was professional, timely and told me all the things I may want to do to get top dollar. She was kind in setting up her contractors to get all the needed work done in two month. Her team worked around my schedule when I was in or out of town, which was reassuring to me. Their contractors were all professional and provided quality work. I have no complaint! After the work was done, Jackie was able to get an additional $300 per month rent for me. Her staff found a qualified tenant in about a month and had them approved quickly. It is nice to have someone else paying my mortgage now.

In the winter of 2018, I rented a one bedroom furnished apartment from Alta Vista Properties. I'm a Canadian and this was my first time renting in the US for an extended period of time. Alta Vista Properties is great! They've managed my PB / Crown Point condo since 2013 and have done an amazing job on ensuring 0 vacancies during that time. I've looked at the photos they've taken to advertise my place, impressing me with their eye for promotion. They're very prompt with small matters, dealing / paying my HOA, dealing with insurance companies, tabulating expense reports for end of years taxes, finding the least expensive recourse for maintenance. I've deployed 3 times and never had to deal with anything. Jackie Alexander is part owner of what I understand is a family owned business passed from father to daughter. I highly recommend them, and at the very least, it’s worth paying them a visit at their Birdrock location (next to a wine bar ;)

Jackie Alexander and her staff at Alta Vista Properties did a fantastic job both managing our property when it was a rental and with sale of the property when we were ready sell. Her judgment on how to best present the property was excellent. Her access to workers for repairs is terrific and she saved us money by getting better prices when a first bid seemed higher than necessary. Everything moved very quickly and we sold the property within one month of it being listed, at higher than the listing price. I highly recommend working with Jackie and her staff.
